The story of Shadowhunters begins with the seemingly ordinary teenager Clary Fray, whose life is irrevocably changed when she discovers her true heritage: she belongs to a race of human-angel hybrids known as Shadowhunters whose mission is to hunt demons. This revelation thrusts her into a hidden world of warlocks, vampires, werewolves and demons, and forces her to question her identity, loyalties and the very nature of good and evil.
