Street Fighter is a high-energy action film set in the fictional war-torn country of Shadaloo, where a ruthless dictator, General M. Bison, has taken hostages and demands a massive ransom from the Allied Nations. The film follows Colonel William Guile, played by Jean-Claude Van Damme, who leads an international task force to stop Bison’s reign of terror and rescue the hostages. Guile is determined not only to defeat Bison but also to bring peace to a country suffering under his brutal rule.

While Guile prepares his assault, several other characters with their own motivations enter the story. Chun-Li, a determined journalist and skilled martial artist, is seeking revenge for her father’s death at Bison’s hands. She poses as a reporter to get close to him, teaming up with her cameraman and tech assistant, who are also undercover agents. At the same time, con men Ryu and Ken become involved in the conflict after being arrested during a weapons deal gone wrong. They are offered a chance to go undercover in Bison’s organization in exchange for their freedom.

As the story unfolds, alliances are tested and loyalties shift. Guile fakes his own death to move secretly toward Bison’s hidden base, while Ryu and Ken slowly gain Bison’s trust. Inside the compound, they uncover Bison’s cruel experiments to create a super-soldier named Blanka, who was once Guile’s best friend. Bison uses high-tech equipment and mind control to turn Blanka into a powerful weapon, hoping to build an unstoppable army.

Back at the Allied Nations headquarters, internal politics delay any real military response, forcing Guile to act alone. Alongside a small team of fighters, including Cammy and T. Hawk, he launches a risky attack on Bison’s stronghold. Meanwhile, Chun-Li confronts Bison in an intense showdown, but is captured before she can kill him. The final act of the film is a fast-paced battle full of martial arts, explosions, and one-liners as Guile and his allies fight their way through the base.

In the climactic fight, Guile finally faces Bison in a brutal one-on-one battle. Using his speed and training, he defeats the dictator just as the base begins to self-destruct. The heroes escape in time, and the hostages are freed, bringing hope back to Shadaloo.

Street Fighter blends martial arts, military action, and video game nostalgia into a chaotic but entertaining adventure. While not critically acclaimed, it has become a cult favorite thanks to its colorful characters, over-the-top action, and campy charm.
